Kids will learn about sustainable and healthy living in their own interactive, hands-on way with these workshops just for them! The youth program workshops run concurrent with the adult workshops, and the family can enjoy the complementary lunch of delicious food provided by local farmers together. By the way, kids get free admission for the day!

Heather is a young artist currently studying at Purchase University pursuing a degree in printing and fine arts.
Be the Change! Our Actions Around Healthy, Local Food

Join in and brainstorm interesting ideas on local and healthy food. Discover what you can do to make a difference and be inspired by new friends!
Dave is president of Sustainable Earth Solutions, Inc. and sustainability consultant to SUNY Fredonia and Perry's Ice Cream. He is a retired science instructor and taught at Alden Middle & High School for 34 years. He has received a multitude of awards and honors for his work with youth and the environment.
Youth Yoga Session, Sponsored by the Himalayan Institute

Relax after lunch and try some yoga moves with Kandy from the Himalayan Institute of Buffalo. Try to wear comfortable clothes for this one! You can even bring your own yoga mat if you have one.
Healthy After-School Snacks
3:45-4:30pm
Yes, healthy snacks are possible and it all starts with simple wheat bread! Kids (and adults) are invited to learn how to prepare wheat turnovers in a variety of ways that are easy and delicious in this hands-on workshop.
Melissa Rakvica is a teacher and owner of Fit-n-Fresh Catering. She has been joyfully cooking ever since she was a little girl with her mother. These recipes are tried and tested by her own children who love to cook as well.
